Recent floods have brought life to stand still in few districts of Andhra Pradesh. Krishna, which is one of the life lines of AP has swallowed villages and towns. Man made structures had to look in awe and nature won hands down. Help those in need.

Rangula Ratnam

I was in Chennai last weekend. Merina beach is one place I love to go every time I go to Chennai. The place is vibrant with lot of people, kids, girls etc. etc. I can just sit there on the beach and spend the whole evening alone.

I was crazy about this “Rangula Ratnam” in childhood. But it was very difficult to get pocket money from dad to spend on this. Only time we get to ride on this is the day after Kanuma, when we go to the river bank and spend the evening there with friends and family.

I was given only 10 or 20 paise per day when I was in primary school. My sister was given only half of what I get… gender bias. So, getting 50 paise to enjoy a ride was very difficult. Still remember those days. It’s very refreshing to see kids enjoying a ride. How ever small, that joy can never be forgotten.

Annoying video ads on IBN Live

Advertising has evolved. Video ads are good, but it doesn’t feel good when you open some web page and hear some noise that you din’t ask for. Such is the video advertising by the ad-dollar hungry site – ibnlive.com

Annoying iphone advertisement plays some sound track when I open ibnlive.com home page. Such a bad user experience. The ad guys at IBN need to think of what ads should they show on their home page.

BTW, iphone looks very overpriced. If I’m right iphone is trying to push 3G phones in India and TRAI has just given 3G regulations in India. Until 3G comes in, we dont know what the usage charges will be. Think before you buy an iphone at the price of 31-36K INR.

Nadal does it again!

The czar of clay court defeats the numero uno again on his court. I’m not a great fan of Tennis, but the match between these two guys is awesome. Number one vs Number two. But, in clay courts, the order is reverse. Federer tried to come back in the second set, but he couldn’t succeed. It was all Nadal’s. The croud cheered Federer through out the match, but at the end all that went to Nadal. Would Federer come back and challenge Nadal again on clay court? Will he succeed. That a big question mark.

He does it four times in a row. Congratulations Nadal!

Time trouble

What would you think if a day disappears from your life suddenly? Simple, you are crossing the data line. I came back from US on last Sunday. I din’t feel jet lag on Monday morning, but it started from Monday evening. I badly needed sleep, I slept by 9 pm which I would never imagine! Finally after three days, I’m ok now.

Finally here!

Finally I’m on WordPress. I tried many blog sites, finally landed up on this. This looks suitable for me. Let me see how well I’ll blog on this.
